To help you get started, some of our print experts took a moment to share their favorite blogs about design, print, and marketing. Hopefully they’ll inspire you as much as they inspire us!
Seth’s Blog by Seth Godin
Toni Raimann, one of our graphic designers, recommended Seth’s Blog by Seth Godin as a favorite. Godin is an American author, entrepreneur, marketer, and public speaker.
If the name sounds familiar to you, that might be because Toni has mentioned Godin before here on our blog. “I looked up Godin’s blog after seeing him speak at the HOW Design conference in Boston. I did a blog post on his session already since it was my favorite, and would probably explain why I was so inspired.”

Unmarketing
Jeanne Peterson, our Marketing Director, recommends Unmarketing.com if you’re looking for your fix of marketing tips and tricks. “It will probably come as no surprise that my favorite blog site is Unmarketing. The topics are relevant, and the writing is humorous, true, and un-patronizing.” Scott Stratten, the president of Unmarketing, was the key note speaker at Dscoop in 2014. You may recognize him as the author of the insightful and entertaining book “QR Codes Kill Kittens.”
David Fellman
Looking for tips on making the big sale from someone who knows the print business? Want to develop your business? Beth Marston, our Sales Director, recommends David Fellman’s blog. David Fellman has been working in the industry for over 25 years, and his blog is a collection of articles he’s written for publications over the years. Selling strategy, sales management, marketing strategy, general management, and other topics are all on the table, so you can focus on just the information you think will be most relevant to your business – or read them all!

Kim Salisbury, another of our graphic designers, recommends this design blog wholeheartedly. “I’ve seen the founder, Armin Vit, speak at HOW. Great guy, great advice and it’s full of OOOOOOODLES of content. Part of the site, For Print Only, highlights printed pieces. You can submit your work and get critiques, ask experts… It’s a great resource for inspiration and advice.”
Thoughts by Jessica Hische
Another of Kim’s favorites is Jessica Hische’s blog. “Jessica is one of my idols in the design world. She’s got a little bit of everything on this blog. She’s got a lot of info on the ins and outs of running a freelance business. She’s also a hoot to follow on Twitter.”
